At the end of 2025, our Group proudly launched OUR RESONANCE Foundation,establishing it as a cornerstone of our ESG initiative, RESONANCE.OUR RESONANCE provides a dedicated framework to support social and communityinitiatives proposed and supported by SSE employees.Today, we are joined by Gilles de Preux, the President of our new Foundation and CEOof SSE Group, to review the initial phases of this initiative.

What makes the Foundation different ?

OUR Resonance brings together people from many backgrounds, united by common values. By allowing SSE
employees to suggest and support projects close to their hearts, we focus on what matters to each community. Though our impact may be modest, every initiative helps us build a better future together.

What types of projects will OUR RESONANCE support ?

In general, the Foundation will concentrate on projects that enhance education, support vulnerable groups, and ­advance sustainability and innovation. These initiatives are intended to address urgent needs while fostering long-term resilience within local communities. Importantly, these projects have been both proposed and supported by
SSE employees throughout our Group, underscoring our shared engagement and commitment.

What stood out to you about the diversity of the initiatives submitted,
and how did the Committee approach the evaluation process?

In its inaugural year, we received project proposals from six different countries, clearly demonstrating that OUR RESONANCE is both recognized and valued across our Group. An independent committee thoroughly evaluated each initiative, taking into account the diverse needs and contexts, to ensure that our support would make the most meaningful impact possible.

What impressed you most about their engagement and
contribution to shaping the Foundation’s priorities?

The enthusiasm and commitment shown by our employees truly reflect our core values, caring for others, supporting well-being, and protecting nature. I was especially moved by a project in Germany involving a student council that aims to address legal cases involving young people. It’s projects like these, rooted in empathy and real need, that define our approach.

Looking ahead, what kind of positive change would you like
these projects to enable both locally and more broadly?

OUR Resonance is not a marketing tool; it’s a genuine commitment to all our stakeholders that global well-being truly matters and should be an integral part of our long-term vision. We recognize that our single financial impact may seem small, but through every Resonance project, we hope to create a positive wave within our Group and, over time, inspire more widespread change.

How will OUR Resonance continue to evolve?

OUR Resonance was designed as a long-term initiative, not a one-off action. The Foundation will continue to ­support employee-driven projects over time, while adapting to local needs and priorities. What matters most is that our people remain engaged and that the Foundation continues to reflect the values we share across the Group.

Finally, from a personal perspective as CEO, what motivates you most about leading such a Foundation. 

I am proud that our Group has established a foundation that expresses our values with conviction and humility. 
I am also extremely pleased that our Board recognized and immediately shared the importance of creating such a foundation. As a guiding principle for my management team, we have always emphasized our responsibility to future generations. Our responsibility goes far beyond profit and development, that’s the core of Resonance, and that’s the essence of our new Foundation.
